Rules of Use

          

In order to ensure the public nature and safety of the hotel, guests using the hotel are requested to observe the following rules based on Article 11 of the hotel’s Terms and Conditions for Accommodation.
If a guest is unable to observe these Rules of Use, the hotel may cancel the accommodation contract or refuse use of the hotel based on Article 8 of the Terms and Conditions for Accommodation. In addition, the hotel will bear no responsibility whatsoever with regard to any accident arising due to failure to observe these Rules of Use.

 

Details

  1. 1. The use of electrical appliances for heating or cooking, or irons, etc., brought in by customers is not permitted in guest rooms. In addition, any other action that may cause a fire is not permitted.
  2. 2. Smoking in bed or any other place where it could easily cause a fire is not permitted.
  3. 3. The hotel has established the “Hotel Metropolitan Nagano Fire Fighting Plan” based on fire fighting-related laws and regulations for fire prevention and in readiness for the occurrence of a fire or natural disaster. In the event of an emergency, please act following the instructions of our employees in accordance with the provisions of that plan.
  4. 4. Please confirm the “Evacuation route map” posted on the inside of the guest room entrance door and the emergency exits on each floor in advance in readiness for an emergency.
  5. 5. Use of a guest room beyond its capacity is not permitted.
  6. 6. For cash and valuables, please use the safety deposit box at the front desk or the room safe. However, confirmation of the safety of the room safe during use is the responsibility of the guest, and even if an item is lost, etc., during use, the hotel will not pay compensation. In addition, the hotel will bear no responsibility whatsoever for any loss, etc., if the guest does not use the safety deposit box at the front desk or a guest room safe. The guest can use the safety deposit box only during the period of accommodation.
  7. 7. The hotel is unable to take care of artworks, antiques, etc.
  8. 8. Bringing the following into the lobby or guest rooms is not permitted.
    1. (a) Animals and birds (pets). However, this does not apply to guide dogs, service dogs and hearing dogs.
    2. (b) Items that emit an extremely foul odor
    3. (c) Ignitable or flammable substances such as gunpowder or gasoline
    4. (d) Firearms and swords that are not possessed legally
    5. (e) Other items prohibited by Japanese laws and regulations
    6. (f) Items that the hotel judges to be unsuitable
  9. 9. Gambling, acts that may disrupt public morals, and speech and behavior that cause inconvenience to other guests are not permitted inside the hotel.
  10. 10. Taking visitors to guest rooms is not permitted.
  11. 11. Use of guest rooms or the lobby for any purpose other than accommodation such as in place of an office, sales office or exhibition room, or as a place to shoot commercial images, is not permitted.
  12. 12. Distributing advertisements to other guests inside the hotel is not permitted.
  13. 13. Ordering food and drinks from outside the hotel is not permitted. Also, the hotel may not allow guests to bring in food and drinks.
  14. 14. Laundry and items left behind will be kept for one month after departure unless otherwise specified, and then disposed of in accordance with various laws and regulations and the terms and conditions.
  15. 15. Displaying or posting by a window anything that would spoil the appearance of the hotel is not permitted.
  16. 16. Request concerning facilities and articles in the building
    1. (a) Use for any purpose other than the purpose of installation is not permitted.
    2. (b) Taking such facilities and articles out of the hotel is not permitted.
    3. (c) Moving facilities and articles to another place or otherwise processing them is not
  17. 17. Using guest rooms for purposes other than accommodation is not permitted.
  18. 18. Charges will be required separately to accommodation charges, etc., in the following cases.
    1. (a) Cases where damage, loss or theft of any facilities inside the hotel has been found
    2. (b) Cleaning expenses, the expenses required for restoration to original condition and normal charges for the period during which the hotel is unable to sell the use of a guest room, etc., will be charged for if special cleaning is required beyond normal levels at the hotel due to eating and drinking, vomiting, blood, filth, etc.
    3. (c) If the guest smokes outside of the designated smoking areas inside the hotel, the guest will be required to pay cleaning expenses, the expenses required for restoration to original condition and normal charges for the period during which the hotel is unable to sell the use of a guest room, etc.
  19. 19. For security reasons, hotel employees may enter a guest room at least once every three days during a stay over consecutive days, even if there is a sign saying that they cannot enter the room (do not disturb) hung up all day.
  20. 20. Please note that charges for the use of facilities will be added when using the phone inside the guest room.
  21. 21. Please provide the key or accommodation card if using the restaurant and bar at the hotel by signature.
  22. 22. Wearing nightwear, slippers, etc., in facilities other than corridors and guest rooms is not permitted.
  23. 23. The hotel may require the advance payment of accommodation charges or a deposit. If the amount of accommodation charges and charges for the use of the various facilities of the hotel exceeds the amount of an advance payment or deposit, front desk accounts will present a bill. Please pay the amount each time. Instead of, or at the same time as, the presentation of a bill, the hotel may request an increase in the amount of the advance payment or deposit.
  24. 24. The hotel adds a 10% service charge and consumption tax to accommodation charges, so please refrain from tipping employees.
  25. 25. Please pay at the front desk at the time of departure. Please note that we cannot accept payment by check other than traveler’s checks.
  26. 26. The hotel will refuse to pay for shopping, tickets, taxis, postage stamps, baggage postage, etc.
  27. 27. Please note that the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act prohibits the hotel from the provision of medicine to guests.
  28. 28. The hotel will refuse the use of all of its facilities immediately in the following cases.
    1. (a) When an act of violence, threat, extortion, intimidating and unreasonable demand or any other act of a similar nature is observed
    2. (b) When it is difficult to ensure your own safety due to your diminished physical and mental capacity, your loss of self due to drugs or alcohol consumption, or when it is deemed that this may cause danger, a sense of fear or anxiety to other customers
    3. (c) When the guest engages in conduct that causes disgust or annoyance to others due to a loud voice, singing, noisy activities or other actions inside the building or guest rooms, or there has been gambling or an act against public order and morals
    4. (d) When other acts the hotel deems inappropriate are recognized
      If you find any suspicious person or object, please contact the front desk.
  29. 29. Entering the hotel employees’ area, emergency stairs, the rooftop, machinery rooms, etc., is not permitted except in an emergency situation or unavoidable circumstances.

    Request

    The hotel implements initiatives for consideration for the environmental (CO2 reduction obligation) and requests your cooperation in the following matters.

  31. * Please let us know if you do not need your room to be cleaned during a stay over consecutive nights.
  32. * Please let us know if there are any amenities in the guest room that you do not need at the time of cleaning during a stay over consecutive nights.
  33. * If you stay for one night, the hotel will not clean your guest room during your stay.
  34. * If you stay for consecutive nights, the hotel will clean your guest room once per night. (If you would like to request a time, requests are received for the period from 10 am to 3 pm.)
